A partner onboarding prototype demonstrating Pillar 2 of a proposed integrations platform strategy — how a nonprofit can connect GiveSmart's fundraising tools with Momentive's Event Management product through a plug-and-play configuration experience.

The AI-assisted config step is powered live by the Claude API — describe your workflow in plain English and it maps the integration automatically.

The Scenario
Hope Foundation wants to connect their GiveSmart fundraising campaign with Momentive Event Management for their annual gala — one workflow, two products, zero duplicate setup.

Design Rationale

Plug-and-play, not custom work

This prototype demonstrates what "productized connectors" actually means as a user experience. A nonprofit admin — not a developer — can connect two Momentive products in three steps. No API keys. No custom integration project. The platform handles the data mapping, the SSO handoff, and the ongoing sync automatically.

MomentiveIQ as the config layer

The AI-assisted setup step shows how MomentiveIQ can reduce configuration friction to near-zero. A user describes their workflow in plain English — the AI maps the fields, sets the trigger, and explains what it did. This is the kind of AI that drives product adoption, not just conversation.

1 product → 2 products, felt on day one

The moment a GiveSmart customer connects Event Management, they've moved from a single-product user to a multi-product user. The integration is the nudge. By making it frictionless and free, the platform removes every barrier between "I use GiveSmart" and "I use the Momentive suite."

Phase 2: The partner SDK

Once the native connection model is proven, the same integration kit opens to external partners — Salesforce, Blackbaud, university portals, hospital CRMs. Each new connector is a sellable product in a catalog, not a one-off project. The platform becomes a marketplace.
